Question by working for the weekend!: Weekend Wedding in Gatlinburg, TN?
My fiance and I want to get married down in Gatlinburg just me and him. I was wondering if anyone knew about weddings down there? All I want is an officiant and my fiance and I. We are planning a larger wedding with the family and friends but I need health insurance and can no longer wait for our real wedding date. I was thinking we could make a weekend out of it. I looked up everything on weddings down there, but everything seems so “planned.” I just want easy and simple a half and hour ceremony!!! So can you share your thoughts or own wedding day story! Thanks:)

It’s not like vegas if that’s what you’re thinking.
But it really doesn’t matter. you become legally married when you pay for your certificate at the county clerk. Once those 2 witnesses have signed off and you get your certificate you are applicable to be added to any insurance, if you aren’t already. Most companies offering insurance allow it to be given to admitted live in relationships.
